Perfection In A Bowl – Leftover Veggies Soup

Some of my favorite dishes are the ones that come together without set ingredients, without planning and without recipes.
I just go to the fridge and/or cupboard, look what’s available and what needs to be used, and just throw together what I think will fit and taste delicious. Such was the case with this soup. I had some krakauer sausage, leftover cooked broccoli, leftover cooked cauliflower and leftover fresh leek from previous dishes, and of course there are always onions in the cupboard and at least 2 or 3 types of cheese in the fridge. Throw it all together and in a few short minutes – a dish as good as can be 🙂  Life is Good !

  1. Smashing! I abhor food waste. One of the most successful dishes I concocted was far a day-long party when I made a vegetable soup in a jam boiling pan and left it on he Aga, telling people to help themselves. When the level on he pan reduced, I added more stock, and the following day I added more vegetables. Yum, yum!

Let’s have more like this, please

    1. I am sure that you would have done. If I am in the Orlando area visiting my tribe, or if you are back in Germany, then I hope that we will be able to meet. Sadly, Agas have to live on the ground floor; and as I no longer do that, I have had to part company with it. Apart from anything else, it cooks porridge overnight, slowly and beautifully.
