Today was “Fix and clean the computer day” at my house (re-installing all programs, etc), therefore there was no time for elaborate cooking (or anything else, for that matter).
So what better way to not cook but still eat a great meal than a large salad with veggies and canned seafood.
As I mentioned before, canned seafood can be great if you know what you are buying and forgo the cheaper, inferior brands.
Just experiment with different brands until you find the one that will ring your bells 🙂

Yuck…everything sounds delicious until you you mentioned sardines in that salad. Did the sardines flavor over-powered everything else in that salad? May I recommend Thai Sardine Salad recipe for those sardines?

You have a point. I’m living with finicky eater for ten years now. Almost everything I cooked for him, he went and changed the original flavor profile. For a long time, I thought that he is a weired individual, but he likes what he likes to eat. Now, I just throw down whatever he likes and make it his meals.

You have a point Chef Hans. You are what you eat and I can’t make you eat Thai Sadines Salad even if it tasted good to me.

You are right. Sardines are like anchvies, you can easily work with the high quality ones whereas you are limited working with the low grade ones. You can put sardines in your salad and I can eat anchovy any time of the day when done right. Forty years ago, I came from a country that produced and consumed anchvy almost on a daily bases, so I can eat anchovy like a rare delicatecy. If you decided to try working with the low grade sardines, I still recommend Thai Sadine Salad recipe. It’s got a class of its own in flavor. If you didn’t like eating sadines, you might learned to like it after tasting this flavor profile.
