ChefsOpinion’s Sabbatical

Dear Friend’s,

Due to personal circumstances I have to take a break from ChefsOpinion for the next four to six weeks.
This is mostly because next week I will  move from the home I shared for fifteen years with my beloved wife Maria  into a small (but very nice) apartment. During the move I will for some time be without internet access and it will also take me a while to set up my new kitchen. As you can imagine, there are many things involved with a life changing  move like that, especially when one has to do it all by oneself.

Anyway, I will try to get everything sorted out as soon as possible and hope to be back again during the middle or end of July 🙂

    Wishing you all the best on your move to another home. I’m sure it will be a cozy one,
    especially with all the kitchen goodies that you will install, to enjoy what you do best,
    cooking for yourself and friends. Moving is not a lot of fun, but once everything is settled
    Life will be normal again, and you can continue your Chef’s Opinion, and share the good
    life with Bella. I know she enjoys your cooking too! Retiring is not an option for many of us,
    even if we slow down a little, we have to keep our minds active, and continue to share
    what we know in our fields of expertise (your’s being a world class Chef).

    Don’t leave us Chef Hans, you have at lot to share with us, in this wonderful world of
    fine food and drink. Enjoy the Sabbatical, and we eagerly await your return to the Chef’s

    I wish you all the strenght and patience in what surely is an emotionally charged time. I probably can not even begin to understand what it must be like to leave a home filled with so much memory and emotions. I for one am looking forward to having you back on-line doing what for many of us is the only known way of living … Cooking … and sharing, not only food, most imortantly, our knowledge and dedication to an entire profession …
