When is too much too much ?
Do you think this is eaten in this way because of the ultimate freshness ?
Or for the novelty effect ? ( Probably)

I remember watching a video of some people eating their food while it was still alive and kicking, and they were laughing, which not only being very cruel, is very disturbing to say the very least, i wouldn’t want to be on the wrong side of some people’s bad side when they decided the end justify the means and they try to eat me alive too and laughing about it. one guy was eating hte arms of a octopus while it was still alive. now where do they get the idea that this is okay? where is their natural internal sense of justice and compassion?

In my opinion what you’re seeing here is the nerve response from the animal being killed so quickly and it still being so fresh. I’m sure any professional here has seen at times the same response in other animals. If you notice right before the dish is served soy sauce is poured over it which induces a latent nerve response once again because of the sodium in the soy sauce.
Now, whether or not this poses an ethical issue is up to the individual, I think it important to bear in mind though that the dish has been consumed and not wasted. Also, it is a cultural issue & opinion that will not be shared by everyone given the “food taboos” that affect us all.
