  1. Lovely! This takes me back to happy days in Wien, and getting soups like this or debreczinersuppe or Serbischeböhnensuppe from stalls in the street. I make these myself, now, and keep ham hocks around at this time of year. Not so suitable for the climate in Florida, perhaps – but yum, yum! I believe that this dish was one of Franz Josef’s favourites, too
