Do you agree to have to pay additional $ 1.00 for ice in your drink !?

There is a new trend to charge customers for ice in their drinks ? !

Receipt shows a charge for ordering a drink “on the rocks”
By Zagat

Did we really just get charged $2 for ice? This disturbing new trend in which restaurants/bars display an extra charge on your receipt for having a drink “on the rocks” is one of the tackiest moves in the business. While some may argue that the bartender has to go heavier on the pour for “on the rocks” drinks, it’s not very classy to alert the customer with a separate charge on the receipt. Restaurants – if you MUST charge extra, save yourself some grief and just factor it into the price of the drink.

” Hans’ Baked Onion & Potato Soup “

I love traditional french onion soup, but I usually don’t like to struggle with the gooey  cheese, especially not when I sit on my lounge in front of the tv
in a semi dark room, balancing a tray in my lap. So today I came up with this version of an onion soup and I think this version is my new favorite.

” Strawberry & Banana Ice Cream Sandwich “

Today when I went into the station to pay for my gas I grabbed an ice cream sandwich because the picture on the outside looked so delicious. I had not have one since years and I remember the great ones back home in Germany, creamy on the inside and  CRISPY waffles on the outside. Much to my dismay, what I got today was a soft, sticky tasteless sandwich,  just horrendous.
So I went home and made my own ice cream sandwich. Easy and very delicious.
The secret is to freeze the cookies for a couple of hours before adding the ice cream Today I made Strawberry & Banana, then after you add the ice cream between the cookies, freeze them again to make sure the cookies don’t become soggy.
